Happy 1st birthday princess....

WE MADE IT...to a year. Actually I should say Emery made it to a year. There have been many times that I wondered if she was going to make it (because of the boys of course), but she made it and we are even more excited to have her here now then the day she was born...It just keeps gettin' better. We love our little poopsie!!

We were going to have a princess theme, but couldn't find a princess cake pan so we settled on what they had...a butterfly and yes I made it so don't look to closely at it. After I got done making it, I realized the frosting wasn't going to be as fun as it should be for a 1 year old so we sent white grandpa to the store to get a cupcake that she could enjoy eating and we could enjoy watching. When he came home he had balloons for her. Who knew that balloons were soo exciting. Sorry about the sideways video, again... Thank you black and white grandma and grandpa for coming to Emery's birthday party. We love you!!!

The boys thought it was hilarious when she shoved her face into the cupcake

YUMMY!!!

White grandma and grandpa gave her this baby and stroller. She loves to walk her baby around the house.
Emery giving the baby a kiss.
Black grandma and grandpa gave her this cute cabbage patch doll. Funny story about that...Everyone always tells me that Emery looks like a cabbage patch doll. I totally agree and have been looking for the exact replica of her. I know it's out there somewhere. My mom found this one with light brown hair and blue eyes. I wanted dark brown hair and blue eyes, but we we haven't found it yet, so the beautician in her decided that she would just dye the hair brown. Well after a full day of trying, she found out that plastic hair doesn't dye quite as easily as real hair. Oh well, Emery didn't care if the doll had dark brown, light brown or any hair, but thanks for trying anyways mom. Love you!!! Ü

Cabin fun

Over President's Day weekend, we met Britney's family and my parents up at their cabin in Island Park. It has been a while since we have been up there and I forgot how fun, beautiful and COLD it is. It was so fun to see the cousins play just as we did as kids.....so many memories. It is my kind of vacation....eat, relax, play and eat some more. Noah couldn't get enough of the snow machines. He was pretty sure that he could drive it by himself but a 5 year old on a fast machine with lots of trees didn't seem like a good idea so we let him "drive" us around. He added a snow machine to his list of must haves...after a boat, motorcycle and a truck of course.

Noah giving grampa a ride...

It was Kannon's 2nd birthday so we had cupcakes to celebrate.
Our fam..
Let me out of here!!!!
So we dared Mckeyan to jump off the deck in his underwear....and he DID it. Except I don't think he thought about having to run back up to the cabin afterwards. It was really funny to watch.

From boys to men....kindof

Cole got some shaving cream and a fake razor for his birthday, so shaving has become part of our morning routine. It has been so funny watching the boys shave. Cole gets it all over his face but Noah is very good. He is very serious about it and has to be perfect, if you can believe that.....

Here comes trouble.....

I walked around the corner the other day to find Emery having a blast with this toilet paper. She is so much fun but I have a feeling she isn't going to be as sweet as she looks. I was hoping for ONE child that wouldn't be so busy, but I don't think it is going to happen. It's just not in our genes. BUT, she is so much fun and a great baby so I am not going to complain. We love her here at our house.

Happy birthday Cole-bear!!

It was Cole's birthday this week. I can't believe he is 4 years old. He wanted to have a party so we invited a few of his friends and went to Jungle Jim's. They had so much fun and it was fun to sit and watch 5 boys run from ride to ride, giggling and laughing for 2 hours. They had pizza, ice cream and cupcakes. It seems like yesterday that all these handsome boys were little babies. What great kids.

Since Noah and dad weren't able to go to his birthday party, we had a little party of our own at home. Cole informed me all day that he didn't actually turn 4 until he blew out candles. So we ran to Harmon's and he picked out a cake. We went to Red Robin (his choice) and came home to open presents and blow out candles so he could be 4, finally!!

Thanks "white" grandma
Thanks "black" grandma

Ryan and I finally broke down and got Cole a Nintendo DS for his very own. I was tired of he and Noah fighting over Noah's. They have had a blast racing each other..

Noah got he and Cole Bronco's jerseys.

At times I wonder why this little guy is how he is, but I would never trade him or his one of a kind personality for the world. We love you bear!!!!

My baby is growing up too fast!!!

Emery has decided that she wants to keep up with the boys or get away from them, I'm not sure which, but I can't believe it is time for her to start walking already. I mean, both boys were walking at this point, but it seems like yesterday that she was born. Boy how time flies!!! Please turn down your volume so you don't have to listen to my annoying "mom" voice...Ü

Christmas 2008

All the Johnson grandkids.

We switch every year going to Idaho and California for Christmas and it couldn't be more different. It was Christmas in California this year. After all these years, it still doesn't seem right to me that there is no snow on Christmas morning, there are Christmas lights on palm trees and it is 60 degrees (and that is freezing to my peeps that live there). BUT, we have a blast and the kids CAN go out and play with there new toys so I guess I can't complain too much. Grandma and grandpa got all the grandkids pajamas so we thought it would be cute to get a picture of them all. That was a lot of work, but not as much work as trying to take a picture of the 3 newest additions to the family. Jack was born in February, Emery in March and Maycee in May. As you can see from the pictures, it didn't work out so well. Emery was trying to get away and didn't care who was in her way. We were all laughing at their expense of course.

We made sugar cookies for Santa. Cole licked the knife every time he dipped it into his OWN frosting bowl. We were sure to give Santa one of his cookies..

The boys were spoiled this year. I love Christmas time and I really love the looks on kids faces when they come down the stairs to see what Santa brought them. They were excited about everything they got, especially the Wii. We played a trading gifts game the night before Christmas. There were a bunch of little $2.00 gifts which included a tub of "flarp" (if you don't know what this is, be thankful) and a little fishing game. After the boys came down and saw all of their presents, the only thing Cole was concerned with was the $2.00 flarp and fishing game. If I had only known....
The boys enjoying the Wii. I think it is as fun for us to watch as it is for them to play...
Emery's noise maker...
All Cole wanted was this Flippin' frog game. I have no idea why
and I really tried to talk him out of it, but I
guess santa really wanted him to have it...

My greatest gifts...
