Happy birthday Cole-bear!!

It was Cole's birthday this week. I can't believe he is 4 years old. He wanted to have a party so we invited a few of his friends and went to Jungle Jim's. They had so much fun and it was fun to sit and watch 5 boys run from ride to ride, giggling and laughing for 2 hours. They had pizza, ice cream and cupcakes. It seems like yesterday that all these handsome boys were little babies. What great kids.

Since Noah and dad weren't able to go to his birthday party, we had a little party of our own at home. Cole informed me all day that he didn't actually turn 4 until he blew out candles. So we ran to Harmon's and he picked out a cake. We went to Red Robin (his choice) and came home to open presents and blow out candles so he could be 4, finally!!

Thanks "white" grandma
Thanks "black" grandma

Ryan and I finally broke down and got Cole a Nintendo DS for his very own. I was tired of he and Noah fighting over Noah's. They have had a blast racing each other..

Noah got he and Cole Bronco's jerseys.

At times I wonder why this little guy is how he is, but I would never trade him or his one of a kind personality for the world. We love you bear!!!!

My baby is growing up too fast!!!

Emery has decided that she wants to keep up with the boys or get away from them, I'm not sure which, but I can't believe it is time for her to start walking already. I mean, both boys were walking at this point, but it seems like yesterday that she was born. Boy how time flies!!! Please turn down your volume so you don't have to listen to my annoying "mom" voice...Ü

Christmas 2008

All the Johnson grandkids.

We switch every year going to Idaho and California for Christmas and it couldn't be more different. It was Christmas in California this year. After all these years, it still doesn't seem right to me that there is no snow on Christmas morning, there are Christmas lights on palm trees and it is 60 degrees (and that is freezing to my peeps that live there). BUT, we have a blast and the kids CAN go out and play with there new toys so I guess I can't complain too much. Grandma and grandpa got all the grandkids pajamas so we thought it would be cute to get a picture of them all. That was a lot of work, but not as much work as trying to take a picture of the 3 newest additions to the family. Jack was born in February, Emery in March and Maycee in May. As you can see from the pictures, it didn't work out so well. Emery was trying to get away and didn't care who was in her way. We were all laughing at their expense of course.

We made sugar cookies for Santa. Cole licked the knife every time he dipped it into his OWN frosting bowl. We were sure to give Santa one of his cookies..

The boys were spoiled this year. I love Christmas time and I really love the looks on kids faces when they come down the stairs to see what Santa brought them. They were excited about everything they got, especially the Wii. We played a trading gifts game the night before Christmas. There were a bunch of little $2.00 gifts which included a tub of "flarp" (if you don't know what this is, be thankful) and a little fishing game. After the boys came down and saw all of their presents, the only thing Cole was concerned with was the $2.00 flarp and fishing game. If I had only known....
The boys enjoying the Wii. I think it is as fun for us to watch as it is for them to play...
Emery's noise maker...
All Cole wanted was this Flippin' frog game. I have no idea why
and I really tried to talk him out of it, but I
guess santa really wanted him to have it...

My greatest gifts...
