Noah's birthday

So my baby turned 6 a couple of weeks ago. I CAN'T believe it has been 6 years already. In a moment of weakness, I decided to do a birthday party here at our house. We decided to do a Mad Scientist party. I know..sounds crazy, right? A bunch of kids and lots of mess was exactly what it was, but let me tell you, we had a blast. Well, the kids had a blast.

When they got here, Noah handed them their box with their lab uniforms in them (goggles and lab coat). Then we made marshmallow and toothpick structures, lava lamps, and slime. We played pin the goggles on the professor, and ended the party with an erupting volcano that Noah and I made and the famous diet coke and mentos experiment. Here are some pictures from the party.

Baseball

Baseball season has started and Noah is playing machine pitch this year. I LOVE to watch his team play. Most of the kids are his friends from the neighborhood so they have so much fun together learning how to play. They are the Dodgers which made Ryan very happy. He bought he and Cole matching Dodgers hats to "support" Noah's team. Ü

JUST BECAUSE!!! She is sooo Yummy!!!

Easter

I know....Easter was awhile ago but I am way behind so we have a lot to "blog" about!!!

EASTER
We had a great easter this year. On Saturday morning, we went to our neighbors house for a huge easter egg hunt/breakfast. Thanks Heather for working so hard...It was a bit cold, but nobody seemed to care and the kids had a blast. Emery didn't really get the idea, but it was fun to watch her try to figure it out.

That night we decorated easter eggs. It always sounds like a good idea, but turns out to be just a big disaster. Oh well..It's all about the memories, right? That's what I keep telling myself anyways...

Cole would rather eat the eggs than decorate them.

This is as good as we got on Easter pictures. I'm not sure why I even try but it does make for some good laughs.

The boys have been begging and begging for a pet. Since neither Ryan nor I like animals, the Easter bunny decided that fish would be our family pet. So Easter morning the boys came down to 4 pet fish. Apparently our family isn't the "pet" kind of family because all of the fish have already died. At least we tried huh?

Happy 1st birthday princess....

WE MADE IT...to a year. Actually I should say Emery made it to a year. There have been many times that I wondered if she was going to make it (because of the boys of course), but she made it and we are even more excited to have her here now then the day she was born...It just keeps gettin' better. We love our little poopsie!!

We were going to have a princess theme, but couldn't find a princess cake pan so we settled on what they had...a butterfly and yes I made it so don't look to closely at it. After I got done making it, I realized the frosting wasn't going to be as fun as it should be for a 1 year old so we sent white grandpa to the store to get a cupcake that she could enjoy eating and we could enjoy watching. When he came home he had balloons for her. Who knew that balloons were soo exciting. Sorry about the sideways video, again... Thank you black and white grandma and grandpa for coming to Emery's birthday party. We love you!!!

The boys thought it was hilarious when she shoved her face into the cupcake

YUMMY!!!

White grandma and grandpa gave her this baby and stroller. She loves to walk her baby around the house.
Emery giving the baby a kiss.
Black grandma and grandpa gave her this cute cabbage patch doll. Funny story about that...Everyone always tells me that Emery looks like a cabbage patch doll. I totally agree and have been looking for the exact replica of her. I know it's out there somewhere. My mom found this one with light brown hair and blue eyes. I wanted dark brown hair and blue eyes, but we we haven't found it yet, so the beautician in her decided that she would just dye the hair brown. Well after a full day of trying, she found out that plastic hair doesn't dye quite as easily as real hair. Oh well, Emery didn't care if the doll had dark brown, light brown or any hair, but thanks for trying anyways mom. Love you!!! Ü

Cabin fun

Over President's Day weekend, we met Britney's family and my parents up at their cabin in Island Park. It has been a while since we have been up there and I forgot how fun, beautiful and COLD it is. It was so fun to see the cousins play just as we did as kids.....so many memories. It is my kind of vacation....eat, relax, play and eat some more. Noah couldn't get enough of the snow machines. He was pretty sure that he could drive it by himself but a 5 year old on a fast machine with lots of trees didn't seem like a good idea so we let him "drive" us around. He added a snow machine to his list of must haves...after a boat, motorcycle and a truck of course.

Noah giving grampa a ride...

It was Kannon's 2nd birthday so we had cupcakes to celebrate.
Our fam..
Let me out of here!!!!
So we dared Mckeyan to jump off the deck in his underwear....and he DID it. Except I don't think he thought about having to run back up to the cabin afterwards. It was really funny to watch.

From boys to men....kindof

Cole got some shaving cream and a fake razor for his birthday, so shaving has become part of our morning routine. It has been so funny watching the boys shave. Cole gets it all over his face but Noah is very good. He is very serious about it and has to be perfect, if you can believe that.....

Here comes trouble.....

I walked around the corner the other day to find Emery having a blast with this toilet paper. She is so much fun but I have a feeling she isn't going to be as sweet as she looks. I was hoping for ONE child that wouldn't be so busy, but I don't think it is going to happen. It's just not in our genes. BUT, she is so much fun and a great baby so I am not going to complain. We love her here at our house.
